Thank you to everyone who entered quotes for the month of August. There were so many good quotes it was really hard to pick just one!! I'll be using some of the others for future months. :) (Or I could just change it to a quote of the week. :P)
This one seemed to make the most sense for me right now. ;)
"We're not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be" -C.S. Lewis
So true!
ReplyDeleteThat is spot on.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! :D
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on reading the quote, "Ouch." Excellent quote!

(Hey, I'm so surprised you didn't use that violin quote... Okay, maybe I'm not. :P )
Wait...why ouch?
DeleteHa! I don't think that one will get used at all. :P
Uh oh... you asked me to explain myself. We might be here all day! :P JK
DeleteI think Lewis is talking about how the Lord uses the lessons, trials, and things in our lives to mold us into His image. When this work in our lives take place, it's not always "fun". ;) But God knows best and He knows where we need to grow. So when we will have God's best in our lives, it will probably take some pain to get there. ;)
Does that make sense? :)
~Bethany
Hey, that quote was good! :P Wait. Maybe you're not happy? You poor dear... :P
Oh yeah...because it talks about how painful the best will be. Yup! That make sense. :D
DeleteJust because I don't practice the violin doesn't mean I'm not happy. I happen to be quite joyful...most of the time. ;)
Good. :)
DeleteI know, I know. But I can't resist a chance to pull anyone's leg! ;) Well, you could edit it and put in piano for violin.................... :D
~Bethany
how is that pulling my leg?? Yes, I could...but then it wouldn't be an original quote. :P
DeleteMeaning that since you really didn't find the quote to your immediate liking, I was teasing you about possible not being happy because of that. :P
