Our High Priest

I was reading in Hebrews today and the last few verses of chapter four really stood out to me. :) Hope they will encourage you as well! :D

Hebrews 4:15-16
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (NIV)

CHANGE IN CONFERENCE SPEAKERS!

Here is the following email delivered to the inbox of pre-registered Homeschool Conference attenders.

Dear Friends,

As many of you may have heard, Doug Phillips' father, the Honorable Howard J. Phillips, went to be with the Lord this past Saturday, April 20th. Our hearts go out to the Phillips family during this time of grieving, and we would invite you to join us in prayer on their behalf.

Very likely you are asking yourself the same question I asked myself after I heard the news, "So what does this mean for the conference this weekend?" In God's providence, Doug Phillips will not be able to join us due to family responsibilities.

However, God, in the same good providence, has blessed us with a replacement: Dr. Voddie Baucham Jr. has graciously agreed, on very short notice, to speak in Doug's stead. While this is undoubtedly a surprise to all of us, we are confident that the Lord will use Voddie's messages to work mightily in our lives this weekend.

PLEASE pass this email on to anyone who you believe would be challenged and inspired by Dr. Baucham's preaching. We have included an overview of conference highlights below for anyone who has not already made arrangements to attend (registration is open at the door).

We thank you for your understanding, and greatly anticipate our time together this weekend!

Neil Craig, President, for the Christian Heritage Board

P.S. Dr. Voddie  Baucham will be sharing the following fantastic messages with us - some for the very first time at a homeschool confernce:

Keynote 2: The Life of Joseph*

Spring!

Branch with flowers of peach and a delightful sky, in blue

Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.  And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
